DOCUMENTARY FILM ABOUT DANCING IN GUAM
Have you danced in Guam before? Has any good come of your travels? Are you there in Guam now or will you be in Feb & March 2012? Are you an American dancer who danced in Guam previosuly with any stories to share? Do you have inspiring stories to tell about your trip? Did travelling to Guam change your life for the better in any way? Did it bring you clarity or enlighten you? Have you discovered anything about yourself & others from the exprience? Did you have fun, make any new friends; bond with anyone and/or form any partnerships or relationships with men of significance? Did you find peace in your life.... or acceptance?
Many times "travel" turns out to be a personal growth experience- it opens our eyes to another way of seeing the world & shows us life from other people's perspectives. Sometimes engaging in new activities, such as surfing, yoga, learning a new language or skill in another country, and/or within a new culture can bring about challenges, but also enlighten us as people. If you recognize within yourself how your travels have helped you, or brought about growth or positive change would you be interested in sharing your wisdoms? If so, would you be willing to discuss your adventures with documentary film maker Amy Oden who will be in Guam this February / March 2012 to film her documentary "EXOTIC?" A FEW TID BITS ABOUT GUAM ....
Guam is a small island in the South Pacific near Hawaii & Australia; the Chamorro culture is a combination of indigenous pre-Hispanic customs and Spanish or Mexican traditions. Inhabited by "Chamorro" natives idigenous to the island (some 4000 yrs ago), Chamorro are similar to Hawaiian's in appearance & culture. US troops recaptured the island in 1944 and today Guam is inhabited by a handful of Chamorro, several thousand US military and supported mainly by tourism - primarily visitors from Japan.
I once drove around the whole island in a jeep I rented; it took me about 2.5 hours. So yes, its small. US military in Japan is set to return to Guam - a 2006 agreement between the United States and Japan will relocate some 8,000 Marines and 9,000 dependents from Okinawa to the island of Guam by 2014. "Base improvement efforts and other contracts related Guam include construction of an RQ-4 Global Hawk UAV complex for the Pacific Rim, and extensive base improvements/ expansion for Guam’s airfield and harbor"; in addition Guam will be bustling with the building of new schools, hospitals, family housing, expanding & modernizing public facilities- these and many other modifications, upgrades, & improvements will cost in the billions. What kind of dancers are best suited to make money in Guam? Because of the culture in Guam, being that there are about 70% Asians visiting from Japan and other parts of Asia I suggest the following type of girls will do better than others; if you are under 5'8", petite and/or small boned or with a slimmer build; petite face & features, with a bubbly and/or light hearted personality do well here. Dancers who are plump, too tall, have large facial features, and darker skin don't fare so well with Asian customers. To be blunt -most Asians are sort of racist to some degree. Yes there is US military in the clubs & they aren't as finicky, however they are not the full scope of customers coming into the clubs. Only blasts of military come in at odd times & no one knows "when" exactly- but its best to rely on the Asian tourists rather than the locals. And yes Asians love blondes, they also prefer dancers who look a little Asian or have exotic features. So in a nutshell, if you think you would do well dancing in Japan then you'll probably do equally as wel in Guam.

Denmark is famous for having "the happiest people on earth." No can specifically pinpoint "why"; all they know is that polls done time & time again show that Danish are the happiest. And being around happy people surely rubs off. Feb the clubs begin to bustle once again; and you can feel fairly secure in knowing that this club offers one of the highest daily shift pays in Europe. They offer 70€ per day salary, plus accommodations in a nice shared house; they offer very high dance prices up to 45€ each. Club is usually booked up so booking in advance is a good idea. THE NEED FOR GOOD PROMO PHOTOS
Gals- here's some things you should know about your promo photos:
1) Bathroom shots in partcular cheapen your look. Even worse, when you are snapping the shot with one hand in front of your face- all I can see is the flash, a blur, and parts of your body. Really?! C'mon!!
2) Messy, sloppy changeroom shots! Tacky. No one wants to see all the junk behind you. It takes away from your beauty.
3) Why do some of you email photos with your head cut off? Makes no sense at all.
4) Lying down in a photo? No one can make out if you are in good physical shape with these types of photos so dont send them or you will be asked to send more. The whole idea behind being an exotic dancer is that you have a beautiful body & flaunt it.
5) Some of you may feel self concious about your figure & try to hide parts of it with clothing or hands or strange poses. These types of photos are viewed as if you are hiding something. Pose in such a way to accentuate or flatter yourself- dont hide anything.
6) Blurry, grainy & dark shadows in your photos are useless- they cheapen your image. Don't send them. Wait & get better ones to send.
7) Sunglasses? The eyes are the window to the soul. Show your bright eyes !!
8) More than one of you in the photo? How is anyone going to know which one is you? No one has a crystal ball around here so please never send photos of you & boyfriends or you & friends or other people- too much work to keep asking you for more photos or trying to figure out which one is you.
9) What are you wearing? Wear attire that
FLATTERS YOU!!! Keep it simple & colors limited. For example: don't wear mesh stockings & pink bra with blue underwear. A one-piece swimsuit of solid color is very classy, so are shimmery gowns and colorful bikinis or classy lingerie; don't wear mixed & matched clothing, and not too many accessories. Keep your photos simple, clean, sharp, colorful & bright. Show your face & body clearly.
10) And for Pete's sakes SMILE! A smile is your lottery ticket to getting the job you want.
